When I left my hometown alone at sixteen, I knew that one day I would have to find a place I could call home. For a long time, I believed that home was found in people. I was convinced that as long as I was surrounded by those I loved, it did not matter where in the world I was.
Yet that idea could not fully explain the sense of belonging I felt when I moved to Geneva on my own. Nor could it explain the feeling of familiarity that sometimes appeared when I stepped off a ten-hour flight into a place I had never visited before.
I found it in unexpected moments: while wandering through unfamiliar streets, sitting in a quiet café, or standing in an art gallery surrounded by works that represented a culture completely different from my own. Somehow, even there, I felt at home.
Over time, I realized that home was not a place waiting to be found.
It was something I carried within me.
Home was the ability to remain curious. To notice beauty. To feel connected to people, stories, ideas, and places. It was a sense of belonging that traveled with me, wherever I went.
That realization became the inspiration behind Geneva Wonderer.
Through art, culture, travel, and thoughtful living, Geneva Wonderer celebrates the idea that home is not defined by geography. It is something we cultivate through the way we see the world, the way we connect with others, and the way we choose to live.
My hope is that these stories inspire you to discover beauty, wonder, and a sense of belonging—wherever life may take you.
